WRITE & RE-WRITE by Chris Hoskins

Write it
Choose what you write and ensure you have an outlet for your work

Read it

Re- write it

Test it…….
On anyone who’ll listen but preferably on an unbiased audience

Re write it

Re read it

Re test it

Re write it

Record it…………
when you’ve researched and found the best method of doing this… i.e. do it yourself or get a more experienced person to do it….. I chose to record the voice myself mainly because of the audience responses I’d had during the testing period.

Research likely outlets for your work and contact them….. I chose to contact libraries and radio producers after researching the Writers Handbook

When you’ve sent your work out…..
The best policy is to forget it and hope that someone somewhere likes it enough to:

A. Buy it.
My cd’s are available from Coventry Central Library

B. Borrow it.
Available from Libraries in Solihull

C. Broadcast it.
An Independent Radio producer for R4 is interested in the work at the moment….. fingers are still crossed!!!!

The whole process took about a year from the writing of the first monologue and I have been asked to extend the series.

All the best with any of your endeavours and any help I can give, please email me.
